Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! This year for New Year's we were lucky enough to have Scott and Vicki offer to play with Mr. Luke while we went to our friends' house to ring in the new year. They enjoyed a comfy night with our little guy while we spent time with friends, wishing we had been as comfy as they were! We've decided that we love getting together with friends to celebrate the new year, but, if we continue this tradition, we need to wear our pajamas so we can crawl right into bed when we get home. I officially feel old saying that!

De Garr Reunion! The Buehrle's bought this bottle at De Garr in Belgium when we went on our European adventure in 2011. We spent A LOT of time at De Garr!
Cheers to De Garr!
The next day we hung out with Jeremy's parents and grandmother to complete our New Year's traditions of eating black-eyed peas and cabbage. Who doesn't need a little superstitious luck?

Happy New Year, sweet boy!

We hope you and your family have a Happy New Year!

Hark the Herald Angels Sing!

My favorite holiday has always been Christmas. I love getting into the spirit of the Advent season, putting out all of our decorations, singing Christmas carols, baking cookies, cake balls, pralines, and fudge, buying and wrapping gifts, and awaiting the coming of baby Jesus. What a joy it has been to have sweet baby Luke here for this time of year! I am looking forward to sharing all of my loves for this time of year with him as he grows up.

Twas the night before Christmas...
This year we were asked to light the Christ candle at the 4:00 Christmas Eve service at church. What an exciting opportunity to share with a new baby! Mr. Luke did an awesome job helping us out. We loved having him in church with us and were so thankful he was awake and alert for this experience :).

Jeremy's parents' beautiful Christmas tree. We headed to Frisco with Jeremy's parents to have dinner and open presents. Jeremy has always opened Christmas presents on Christmas Eve, which is different from my family who has always opened them on Christmas morning.

Christmas Day
We usually wake up bright and early and exchange gifts between us at home before heading out to my parents' house, but this year was a little different. I ended up getting an infection right before Christmas, and sadly, didn't get a chance to finish wrapping Jeremy's gifts. He insisted I rest as much as possible, so we held off and did our gift exchange after we went to my parents' for Christmas morning.

On our way to Nana and Grandpa's house!
Can you tell my parents LOVE Christmas???
